hi! i’m daniela stephanou. i like spoons, clouds, cows, and strawberries, too.

i’m from medellín, colombia. maybe i ate too much fruit growing up there, because now i can’t stop painting it.

i went to duke, where i studied english and psychology. that’s probably why i like the brain and why i try to analyze spoons. because why not? they’re the diggers of soup. that must mean something.

then i moved to new york to get my mfa in creative writing at pratt, where i mostly played with words and spoons. i’m still based in nyc, currently working as a copywriter at a design agency.

i like images as words and words as images. after all, everything is just a carrier of meaning. i’m also a mixed-media artist, professional doodler, and player of games. mostly, i like to create, make, play, and see what things can mean.
